Pride is thinking about how I see God.
Humility is thinking about how God sees me.
Pride is thinking about how others should change.
Humility is thinking about how I should change.
The Word of God, the Holy Bible says:
Pride brings destruction.
Humility brings honor.
Pride leads to disgrace.
Humility leads to wisdom.
For the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has a day of reckoning. He will punish the proud and mighty and bring down everything that is exalted.
The wicked are too proud to seek God. They seem to think that God is dead.
God opposes the proud, but favors the humble.
Humble yourselves before God and He will lift you up in honor.
Psalm 10:4, Proverbs 3:34, 11:2, 13:10, 16:18, Isaiah 2:12, James 4:10.

We will only come to faith in Christ when we say, “I need God.” Pride keeps me from saying that, but we truly need God. Every breath we breathe reminds us how fragile and vulnerable and needy we are. How we can be so prideful is quite amazing. If we need God so desperately now to live, how can we possibly think we won’t need God when all breath is gone and we have breathed our last.
You are special to God. When you recognize that He created you and that apart from Him you can do nothing, you can face pride and conquer it.
God, help us eliminate our pride so we can see You and comprehend Your glory.
Lord Jesus, You gave up your divine privileges and took the humble position to be born as a human being. You humbled yourself in obedience to God and died on the cross for me. I humble myself in obedience to God and accept your sacrifice for my sin.
John 3:16, Philippians 2:5-11.
